Lamb Burgers

Homemade ground lamb burgers are a great alternative to their usual counterparts.

Ingredients

For the patties

  • 1 kg lamb mince
  • ½ onion, diced and fried in oil
  • 1 extra large egg
  • Mint, dried
  • Cumin, ground
  • 15 mg Huletts White Sugar
  • 8 mg salt
  • 5 mg black pepper

To serve

  • 6 burger buns, cut in half and toasted
  • Fresh rocket
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 250 ml tzatziki
  • 1 onion, sliced

Method

Ingredients

  1. Combine all the patty ingredients and mix well. Form into 6 patties (150 – 200 g each).

For the patties

  1. Cook the patties in a little oil until golden brown.

For the burgers

  1. Build the burgers by placing rocket, tomato slices and then the burger patty on a bun.
  2. Top with tzatziki and onion slices.
