Old School Samp with a Creamy Surprise.

Ingredients

For the samp

  • 250g samp
  • 15 ml Huletts Sun Sweet Brown Sugar
  • 60-125 ml cream
  • 15 ml vegetable stock

Method

  1. Rinse the samp in cold water and soak for a couple of hours.
  2. Boil the samp in 2-3 cups of water until it is cooked and soft.
  3. Add the brown sugar and vegetable stock.
  4. Add the cream a little at a time, simmering until the samp is well coated and not separate.
  5. Serve with your favourite stew or curry.
