Chicken Curry

Our Chicken Curry packs a punch with a combination of spices and the #HomeGrown sweetness of Huletts SunSweet Brown Sugar.

Ingredients

  • 30ml cooking oil
  • 1 onion, chopped finely
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 30ml Huletts SunSweet Brown Sugar
  • 10ml cumin
  • 10ml mild curry powder
  • 10ml paprika
  • 10ml peri-peri powder
  • 10ml ground dhania
  • 10ml mixed herbs
  • 10ml ginger powder
  • 1 tray of chicken thighs and drumsticks (8 pieces of chicken)
  • 2 sachets of tomato paste
  • 1 chicken stock cube
  • 250ml water
  • Fresh coriander

Method

  1. Fry the onion in the oil until soft.
  2. Then add in the garlic, sugar, spices and chicken.
  3. Stir until the chicken is well-coated in the spice mixture.
  4. Add the tomato paste, chicken stock cube and water.
  5. Simmer uncovered for 25 -30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Garnish with the fresh coriander.
  7. Serve with fluffy white rice and poppadoms.
