Ingredients

TROPICAL SLUSHIES

  • 1 pineapple
  • 3 wooden skewers
  • 250 g frozen mango
  • 125 ml passion fruit pulp
  • 60-125 ml strawberry juice
  • 6 sachets Huletts Xylitol
  • About 10 ice cubes
  • Straws

Method

  1. Cut the pineapple in half.
  2. Peel one half and cut it into cubes.
  3. Cut the other half into cubes leaving the skin on. Divide these cubes between the skewers.
  4. Blend the peeled pineapple cubes, mango, passion fruit, strawberry juice (you may want to use a little at first and then add more if necessary), xylitol and ice in a blender until smooth.
  5. Pour the slushies into glasses.
  6. Garnish with a pineapple skewer and straw.

Top tips

Freeze fruit the right way…

Coat your fresh fruit with a layer of sugar before freezing, or freeze them in sugar syrup.

Gimme that sugar
